A career tool that underpins many contemporary approaches
Most contemporary approaches to career planning have many elements in common.
Many modern approaches have been influenced by the now 40 year old DOTS Analysis model of career planning (Law & Watts, 1977-96). As with so many models, it is useful, in so far as it works.
DOTS describes four key parts of career planning:
